Educate — Engage — Empower
Looking to boost morale, foster team building and have some fun at work? Take your team tree planting! Enjoy a unique day of learning and bonding in the great outdoors – all while doing your part for the environment. RVCF and its friends at the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority help corporate partners create programs that engage their employees, strengthened teamwork and support their communities, all while doing important environmental work.
We currently offer spring and fall tree planting opportunities, but if you have something else in mind – let’s talk.
About the program:
Planting trees is a great way to give back and connect with nature. Our half-day program (2 to 3 hours) includes:
- Coordination of planting location
- Purchasing and delivery of potted, native stock
- Professional guidance and direction from RVCA forestry staff
- Shovels and other equipment
Because the stock is potted, most staff can team up and plant 15 trees over the morning or afternoon event. If you’re feeling very inspired, you can plant 15 trees each! We can be flexible to suit your team and goals.
Book early!
Advanced booking helps us secure a planting site for your group and ensure tree stock availability.
- Spring planting booking deadline is April 1
- Fall planting booking deadline is July 1
Increase your impact!
When you combine a staff engagement event and a donation to our tree planting program, you support a very cost-efficient and robust program that increases the number of bareroot trees planted across the watershed each spring. Consider blending your employee program with a donation for maximum benefit to local community health.
